Settings
Every section of StateSync's settings, and what each one is for.
Every section of StateSync's settings, in the order the app lists them, and what each one is for.
General
- Default open destination: the editor a file opens in, VS Code or Cursor.
- Integrated terminal shell, and whether agent interfaces open full screen.
- Time format, 12 or 24 hour.
- StateSync terminal in your editor: installs or updates the VS Code extension.
- Updates: the version you have, and Check for updates.
Account
Who you are signed in as, your plan, and buttons out to manage billing and your account on the website. Usage on this device shows the tokens your agents used and the tokens StateSync saved, over the last 7 days, 30 days or all time.
Appearance
Light, dark or follow the system, a colour scheme and a contrast level, and the terminal's font and sizes.
Source control
A card for each open project, with its remote and its branches. Compare a branch with what you have now, copy its name, or check it out. Reviewing changes covers the review pane itself.
Archive
Archived projects and chats, with search and filters. Restore any of them, or delete them for good.
- Deleting a project removes StateSync's own record of it: chats and history.
- Deleting the project's map, and deleting the project folder from disk, are 2 separate boxes. Neither happens unless you tick it.
Providers & agents
Every supported agent, with its install and sign-in state, your provider's remaining limit where the provider publishes it, and API keys for the agents that take them. Agents has the detail.
MCP servers
The MCP servers your agents already have, with their status and tools, and any you add yourself.
Capabilities
- Enable StateSync: every capability on or off at once. Your agents keep working either way.
- Continuity, Workspace Intelligence and Efficient Execution, each on its own switch.
- Work outside the project folder: off unless you turn it on.
What StateSync does explains each capability.
StateVoice
The dictation shortcut, the speech model, the microphone, and the clean-up rules. StateVoice covers each one.
